From Märjamaa to Italy: Adamlights produces lighting decorations for nearly twenty Italian shopping centres

Adamlights has doubled the turnover of its Italian projects for three consecutive years. For this holiday season, the company has contracts with nearly twenty shopping centres across Italy, with lighting decorations designed and manufactured in Märjamaa.

According to Ivari Roosileht, Chairman of the Management Board of Adamlights, competing in the Italian market requires combining design with top technical quality.

“Italy is historically a market with a very strong design culture, and the trust of business clients there is an important recognition for us. We see that Italian clients value Adamlights’ strengths, such as the ability to combine Nordic design language, fast delivery and technical craftsmanship. Our lighting solutions must evoke emotion, but behind that, a strong dose of deliberate engineering is expected: the selection of materials and high-quality components, reliability, and the ability to carry out a large project from start to finish. We know how to combine these sides effectively. To ensure smooth logistics for the lighting decorations, we have 11 warehouses in our supply chain across Italy,” said Roosileht.

Nordic design, production in Estonia
Adamlights’ lighting solutions are created through collaboration between designers, engineers and the production team. Märjamaa is home to Adamlights’ 5,500-square-metre production and logistics complex, where the company produces both its own permanent collection of lighting decorations and bespoke solutions created for a specific client and location. Part of the production for the Italian market is completed at Adamlights’ production unit in Romania.
For years, the company has paid close attention to the quality of materials and components in its products and has tested them in different weather conditions.

“Light has a special meaning in the Nordics. We interpret our approach, Inspired by Northern Lights, through both our design language and the high quality standard we set for ourselves. An impressive lighting solution must be durable and technically reliable. We are successfully taking this mindset from Estonia to markets with warmer climates and design cultures different from our own,” added Roosileht.
